I was born in 1970 and raised on the island of Oahu in the state of Hawaii. I spent as much time as I could drawing as a child, always creating heroes, and monsters. My mother would draw a s well, but otherwise my only artistic inspiration was cosmic books and Frank Fazetta book covers. Although my parents were always supportive, I was told by my high school counselor there was no such thing as an art school and not having much desire t do anything else, I spend the next ten years in the construction industry. During this time drawing became a less frequent thing as the years went by.

One day a friend found a sketch book and asked why I didn't draw anymore. I explained my lack of knowledge, this was pre-internet, of how to find an art school. A few weeks later I received catalogs from several schools nationwide. By the time a year had passed, I was heading to the Academy of Art College in San Francisco where after many years received a Bachelor degree in Visual Development.

I was fortunate enough to be selected as one of the original twelve students at the Safehouse Atelier run by Carl Dobsky. My artistic knowledge jumped tremendously. He was one of the best teachers I ever had. After this I spent ten years jumping around working in the animation and gaming industries. Then through a series of events, I now find myself as a full time fine artist just trying to make a living from what I love.
