“Across the Pond” depicts the Heroes Memorial Bridge spanning Lake Ray Hubbard between Rockwall and Rowlett. Formerly known as the Two Mile Bridge, it was dedicated as the Heroes Memorial Bridge in 2020 to honor veterans and first responders and raise awareness of suicide among those communities. The drawing captures the bridge from the shoreline, looking across the lake toward Rockwall.
