The Full Story
About
The Rockwall (RAL) is a volunteer organization that began with a few individuals dedicated to the visual arts. Our founding members recognized the importance that art plays on the strength and beauty of a community. With that idea in mind, the founders crafted RAL's mission which is to create and support art related exhibitions, educational events, and art appreciation in the Rockwall area. RAL is consistently dedicated to furthering artistic appreciation and encouraging artist growth for its members and the community at large.

Artreach
ArtReach was developed several years ago by the Rockwall Art League (RAL) as a community out-reach program. A few RAL members met with the MHMR director in Royse City. From that first meeting, the project came to life teaching art to individuals with developmental disabilities who were enrolled in a day program in Rockwall County.
The project began with 10 students (adults 22-55). Now, in a new facility on Airport Road in Rockwall, there are approximately 25 students receiving art services the third Wednesday of the month.

Workshops
Rockwall Art League is proud to offer multiple workshop opportunities to members and non-members throughout the year. Workshops are a great, easy, hands-on way to continue your art education no matter your skill level or medium. Each workshop features a teaching artist sharing their knowledge with us. Sharing from their own experiences their techniques, ideas and tips etc. Each workshop is open to a limited amount of participants so register early and pay to secure your spot.
