Membership Spotlight - Stephanie Lawhorn

Stephanie Lawhorn is a Texas-based teaching artist who specializes in embellished wildlife paintings and abstractly textured florals and landscapes. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Wildlife Sciences from Texas A&M University and Masters in Education from Sam Houston State University, and grew up in a creative home that inspired her love of children, the arts, and all of Earth’s flora and fauna. Her works are a result of her combined passions and are created using mixed mediums and a variety of acrylics creating a luminosity and depth that only serve to amplify the beauty found in Creation as seen through the lens of her Christian faith. Stephanie’s art has received numerous awards around the state of Texas, and has been featured in a variety of publications. Her art can be found at various fine art galleries in the Dallas-area and in private collections both state-side and internationally.
