Membership Spotlight - Rita Barakat



I create art that goes beyond aesthetics to inspire and empower people. Many struggle with self-acceptance and confidence, often not seeing themselves reflected positively in the world around them. My goal is to change that by creating original, one-of-a-kind pieces that aren't found in every store—artwork designed to be as unique as the individuals who connect with it. I use vibrant, bold colors and work in acrylics, mixed media, and oils, depending on what each piece calls for. This flexibility allows the story behind the art to shine through in the most expressive way possible. Each piece brings beauty and meaning into a space, serving as a daily reminder of inner strength, resilience, and worth. I want my art to uplift and affirm, helping people feel comfortable, confident, and celebrated for who they are.

Rita Barakat is a licensed artist celebrated for her whimsical mixed media creations, ranging from murals to miniatures. Recognized as a top influencer in the Association for Creative Industries, her clients include Faber-Castell, Plaid, and more. She lives in the Dallas area with her husband and five children, serves as a youth pastor and worship leader, and is passionate about art, music, and supporting the foster care and adoption community.
