Although, Marcie started painting seriously only fairly recently, it’s never too late in life to learn and enjoy new things. She is a retired math teacher, who after raising her family and working for many years, finally had time to pursue some things for herself. She joined an art group outside of Waco, where they lived for almost three years. But most of her learning and enjoyment of art has come from the wonderful group she paints with every week in Celeste.
She especially likes to paint horses, cows, and landscapes. Flowers are becoming another favorite subject matter, though.
She loves outings and activities with her family and is very active in their church. Besides painting, she enjoys writing, and her third book will be published this summer.
She lives in Greenville, but grew up in Fort Worth, graduated from The University of Texas in Austin, and has lived in Arizona, Colorado, Maryland, and Germany.
