George Fiala was born in Prague, Czech Republic and immigrated with his family to the United States in 1980. He started working as a professional photographer 27 years ago. His passion for photography started in college, when he took his first photography class just for fun. He quickly fell in love with the art and technical science of the craft and decided to major in photography and Texas A&M Commerce.
His shooting experience comes from working in the editorial, advertising, corporate, retail and event markets. He became a photography teacher at The Episcopal School of Dallas in 2011 to 2022. Depending on the project, he shoot both digital and analog. However, he has more interest in historical photography processes such as Wet Plate Collodion and analog image capture. He tries not to let his heart be influenced with modern technology too much. Recently, the universe blessed him with the freedom to finally start being a fine art photographer who makes art for himself without boundaries.
